Elvis Suarez is an art and commercial photographer in Miami. His photographs are multi-faceted, creative and diverse. As a 22 year old Elvis discovered photography and it’s power for the first time with a 35mm camera in a trip to San Francisco. This experience produced a guiding light that would introduce him to a brand new way of looking at things. His education at Miami Dade College’s North Campus and all the training he received there helped shape his vision and it`s an experience that Elvis still recalls for guidance.
In 2007, he joined forces with Randy Valdes, a talented Film/Video Director and Cinematographer. Together they founded GlassWorks MultiMedia, a collective of creatives that is not governed by genre and combines all aspects of motion pictures and photography. Their mutual respect and admiration for music and arts in general has inspired numerous ambitious works and art series.
He has exhibited his work at various distinguished galleries in the Miami area including The Hangar Gallery, The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse, WDNA Jazz Gallery and at the Miami Dade County Auditorium as part of FUNDarte Miami On Stage art series. His work has also been published by print news outlets that include several newspapers and magazines.
Over the years, Elvis’s works has expanded to include everything from fine art to commercial, from candid and doc style, to live performances. His photography has the power of frame the soul of what he sees, and is not inspired by one thing, or one person or idea. It’s motivated by challenges.
The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words. – Ernst Haas
